The Head of Technology Centre in Krakow
"What I value most at work are passionate people."
I've been part of the tech industry for nearly 30 years, including 20 years working on mobile technologies at Nokia and Motorola. I started my career as a programmer (assembler, C, C++), and gained my first leadership experience managing test teams. Over time, I moved into project and program management. Since 2013, I’ve been leading the department responsible for LTE technology at Nokia, and since 2015, I’ve been managing the entire R&D site in Kraków. What brings me the most satisfaction is working every day with passionate people — and I’m lucky to be surrounded by many of them. Creating space for their growth and encouraging them to inspire others is a huge source of motivation for me. Outside of work, I’m a sports enthusiast — especially skiing, windsurfing, and tennis. I’m also passionate about photography.

"At Nokia, I was given the opportunity to unlock my full potential."
I began my career at Nokia in 2015 as an R&D Lab Administrator. I moved from running my own small business to being part of a team responsible for maintaining and developing an R&D lab that supports hundreds of Nokia engineers. Looking back, I can say it was a great decision. Nokia gave me the opportunity to unlock my full potential. I embraced it fully and, within just three years, went from lab administrator to team leader, and finally to independent lab team manager. My current hobbies include 3D printing and RC modeling.

"If you think you're too old for rock and roll… well, then you are.”
~ Lemmy Kilmister
Forget the corporate clichés. Working with people and unlocking their full potential to build new technologies is just as thrilling as performing with the band I'm lucky to be part of in my free time. Over 16 years in the telecom industry, I’ve had the chance to experience the evolution of 3G as a developer, 4G as a team leader, and now 5G as an R&D department director. And I can say – solving a complex technical problem for a client still feels just as satisfying as ever. I also know that Nokia has that certain something that’s won people’s hearts around the world: simplicity, respect, and effectiveness.

“There is nothing so useless as doing efficiently that, which should not be done at all.”
~Peter F. Drucker.
I've been in the IT industry for over 20 years. Since 2001, I've been part of Nokia in Kraków (previously NSN/Motorola). For the first few years, I worked as a developer (C/C++), then gradually transitioned into management roles. Since October 2017, I’ve been leading a department responsible for developing an LTE product for the Japanese operator KDDI. I'm fascinated by AI – both from the technological side and its social and ethical implications. Ex Machina is, in my opinion, the best sci-fi film on the subject so far. When it comes to non-fiction, I find Yuval Noah Harari’s take on these topics particularly thought-provoking. To unwind, I go running (I'm a former competitive runner) and play tennis.

"What I enjoy most about my work is the constant need to keep learning — you can’t afford to rest on your laurels."
After graduating from the AGH University of Science and Technology in 2005, I began my career in the telecom world by applying for a tester position at Motorola. Later on, at Nokia, I spent several years sharpening my software testing skills — until I decided to explore how Product Planning works. The next step in my career was managing the Release Delivery and Operations team in Small Cells. This is where I learned how programs function and how to negotiate with Product Management. Since February of this year, I’ve been working as a Tribe Leader in the MN 5G & SC Business Unit. Privately, I’m passionate about the human factor in testing. I try to share my knowledge at testing conferences like Test Dive and HUSTEF.

"Be strong enough to stand alone, smart enough to know when you need help, and brave enough to ask for it."
I began my career in 2005 as part of the SUCIMA project, developing algorithms for the treatment of soft tissue cancer. Shortly after graduating in Electronics and Telecommunications at AGH in 2006, I joined Motorola as a tester of CDMA base station software. Today I can say that it was worth it. Each day is a new opening and gives a lot of joy to the tasks performed. At that time, I had the opportunity to perform many roles allowing to learn the diversity of the Telco industry as a tester, documentalist, programmer, customer support engineer, architect, test / technical lead, project/program manager and R & D manager. What I value most in Nokia is the people I work with and the unique atmosphere. Since 2017, I have the pleasure to support the development of the Krakow branch of Nokia as the deputy director and obtained in 2018 Lean Six Sigma Black Belt helps me in this. Privately, I am a father of 4 sons who in the evening is devoted to football and basketball.
