  • Be responsible for the development of short-term projects on a daily basis.
  • Support tools and new features that are part of our ongoing projects.
  • Act under the guidance of our Technical Leader.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

You have:

  • Active student status
  • Good English and Polish, both spoken and written
  • Ready to work full-time during the summertime
  • Ability to use the Linux command line in daily routines Basic Python skills, including: Object-oriented programming principles, Installation of Python packages through PIP and APT/Yum, knowledge of how to: create own Python package, connect to REST API and use it inside own application, use SSH, HTTP, or (s)FTP to get data from external source
  • Teamwork skills

Lab&Testing Support – Summer Trainee

You will act as a team member of Krakow 5G Verification department supporting operation in one of our laboratories in Krakow and Skawina.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

As a part of our team, you will:

  • Handle technical and engineering tasks within the laboratory
  • Take care of the inventory for common laboratory assets
  • Support other laboratory users in their daily work
  • Enhance your telecommunications competencies in 5G and its evolutions
  • Perform simple electrical and logical installations
  • Repair electronic and electrical devices
  • Update internal technical documentation
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams and external subcontractors or vendors
  • Perform soldering tasks

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

You have:

  • Willingness to learn/improve testing techniques and methodologies
  • To be pro-active and self-dependent as a test expert fighting for your feature as well as to be able to work as a team player and support other with your know-how
  • Ability to quickly acquire new knowledge and solve complex problems

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Technical background in telecommunications (wireless or fixed networks), system and network performance test processes, test environment setup and debugging methods
  • SEP certificate cat. E1 (is an advantage)
  • Ability to diagnose and service electronics and electrical devices at a basic level
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office

The MN RAN R&D L3 SW KRK1 department is a dynamic and innovative group dedicated to advancing the capabilities of 4G, 5G, and future generations of mobile networks. We are responsible for the development of new features in Layer 3 (L3) software of BTS, which is crucial for the efficient operation and management of radio access networks. Additionally, we create and maintain In-House simulators’ products that emulate various components of the network, enabling thorough testing and validation of our solutions. Our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement drives us to push the boundaries of what is possible in mobile network technology.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

As part of our team you will contribute to our telecommunication projects. Your daily activities will be related to embedded systems development (RTL, formal and functional verification, processes automation).  You will act as a team member of a team that creates inhouse Nokia UE simulator.

As part of our team, you will:

  • Develop knowledge of physical layer (L1 Layer)
  • Implement physical layer telco specification (3gpp standard and O-RAN standard) using DSP
  • DSP programming using C/C++ language
  • Gain experience in product development

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

You have:

  • Active status of student of Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or Software Technology or equivalent education (for at least one year)
