Automation Engineer (with Python) – Working Student

Working Student is a long-term paid internship, that allows you to kickstart your fabulous journey in the IT and Telecom world. As our Trainee you can have experience working in such areas that correspond to full-time engineering jobs. The internship usually lasts from 6 to 24 months. Position: Automation Engineer (with Python) – Working Student
Duration: 12 months with the possibility to prolong
Location: Kraków (hybrid)
Education Recommendations: Active student status (for at least one year) in Computer Science or related

The MN RAN R&D L3 SW KRK1 department is a dynamic and innovative group dedicated to advancing the capabilities of 4G, 5G, and future generations of mobile networks. We are responsible for the development of new features in Layer 3 (L3) software of BTS, which is crucial for the efficient operation and management of radio access networks. Additionally, we create and maintain In-House simulators’ products that emulate various components of the network, enabling thorough testing and validation of our solutions. Our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement drives us to push the boundaries of what is possible in mobile network technology.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

As part of our team, you will:

  • Gain experience in product development with agile methods
  • Collaborate with team members on technical projects
  • Solve issues encountered by Nokia internal customers

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

You should have:

  • Active status of student of Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or Software Technology or equivalent education
  • Good English, both spoken and written
  • Good Python programming language skills
  • Good analytical skills for problem solving
  • Basic Linux and bash scripting
  • Knowledge of IP or mobile networks would be a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Customer focused mindset
  • Team player spirit
